Sislave K.S, Assistant Professor on Contract in the Research Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture completed her Bachelor’s Master’s Degrees in Applied Fisheries and Aquaculture from St. Albert’s College, Ernakulum i 2012. She bagged the third and first ranks respectively in the Mahatma Gandhi University for her BSc and MSc Degree Examinations. Her expertise is largely in Fish and Aquaculture Nutrition, Fishery Microbiology, Fishery by-products, Value-added Fishery Products, Hatchery Technology in Aquatic Organism, Fishing Technology, Fish Capture Technology and Management. She has undergone training in seafood industries, ornamental fish hatcheries, and shrimp hatcheries from CIFT. After joining St Albert’s College as Assistant Professor on Contract, she has been donning the role of class tutor and mentor class since 2016. She is also the Secretary of the Department. She has been guiding both undergraduate and post graduate students’ dissertation since her appointment in the Department. She was the resource person at a workshop conducted by the Vocational Higher
Secondary School, Kadamakudy and she delivered a lecture on Fish
Nutrition. As an extension activity she conducted a hands-on-training
programme on feed preparation. Prior to joining St. Albert’s College, she
worked as technical assistant in the Zooplankton division of CMLRE. Her
area of consultancy is Water Quality Analysis.
